CHICAGO, Oct. 24 (UPI) -- Former U.S. President Bill Clinton, attending a fundraiser in Chicago, kept mum on the possibility that his wife and Sen. Barack Obama might be rivals in 2008.

Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York is widely tipped as the Democratic front-runner for the presidential nomination in 2008. Obama, in his first term as the senator from Illinois, is the party's new rock star and recently said he might run.

"I know you fellas want to write about this," Clinton told the Chicago Sun-Times. "And you will."

Clinton was at a hotel on Michigan Avenue to raise money for Rep. Melissa Bean and Congressional hopeful Tammy Duckworth. He said that Obama is "right" -- that this is a time to focus on the struggle for Congress in November and not on 2008.
