Pet Idol

A new fame academy has opened in Germany - for pets. The performing arts school reportedly offers talented animals the chance to play musical instruments, sing and dance. Teacher Viviane Theby claims she has already taught a chicken how to play the xylophone. The 39-year-old has also taught a particularly smart cat how to play the piano. She said: "He's even given concerts and we have sold some of his CDs. Occasionally we play a duet together." Theby explained she uses normal animal training practices to teach her unusual class. She said: "I use the same principles as other animal trainers. "If the pet hits the right note it gets a reward. Animals repeat what they are rewarded for."
