Doggy mission

(BANG) - A missing dog has been found safe and well - 430 miles away from his home.

Basset Hound Fred disappeared from his Californian home in December after his owner moved to a new house.

FredÂ’s owner had given up all hope of finding him until an employee at ArizonaÂ’s Second Chance Center for Animals discovered him in the car park last week.

Luckily, Fred had a microchip and staff were able to trace his address, and phoned his owner to let her know the good news.

The shocked animal lover said she had no idea how Fred made it half way across the country.
