Smallville

This popular TV series about the life of a pre-Metropolis Clark Kent living in his hometown of Smallville, Kansas, made its triumphant debut on October 16, 2001 on the WB Network. The pilot garnered a WB record 8.4 million viewers. The show, now in its sixth season, has proven to be popular, and has been the reason for the stardom of some of its stars. Tom Welling plays the teenage Clark Kent, while Kristin Kreuk plays Clark’s adolescent flame, Lana Lang. Michael Rosenbaum plays “Lex” Luthor, while Allison Mack plays Chloe Sullivan, and Erica Durance plays Lois Lane. Throughout the series, Clark struggles with the discovery and development of his superpowers, his extraordinary identity, and his true destiny. “Smallville” revolves around Clark’s relationship with his human parents, his friendships (especially with a young Lex Luthor), his romance with Lana Lang, conflicts with various enemies (including those with Lex’s father, Lionel), and of course, the intermittent appearance of different colored Kryptonite. The show is filmed in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, Canada.
