Julia Barr is an American television actress. She was born as 'Julia Rose Buchheit' on February 8, 1949 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, U.S.A. The actress is best known for portraying the role of 'Brooke English' on the television soap opera, 'All My Children', which currently airs on the ABC network. Julia joined the cast of 'All My Children' in year 1976 and was nominated for the Daytime Emmy awards eight times out of which she received the awards twice in year 1990 and 1998. However, in 1998 she took a year off from the show to accompany Katharine Hepburn and Dorothy Loudon for the tour. Julia married Dr. Richard Hirschlag, an oral surgeon in 1982, and the couple has a daughter together named, Allison Hirschlag, who is also an actress. She is also a spokesperson for animal rights.
