Deidre Hall

Actress Deidre Hall, who is best know for the role of Dr. Marlena on the American soap opera "Days of Our Lives", born on October 31, 1947. She joined "Days of Our Lives" in 1976 and to concentrate on a career in primetime TV she left the show in 1987, and returned in August 1991. For her work on "Days of Our Lives", she was nominated for three Emmy Awards and three Peoples Choice Awards. She has been named as outstanding actress six times in the 16-year history of the “Soap Opera Digest” Awards. Her first big role was as the Electra Woman in the 1976 series of "Electra Woman and Dyna Girl". From 1973-1975 she played as Barbra Anderson on "The Young and the Restless". She has an identical twins and she got married to novelist Steve Sohmer. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
