American Idol

It seems as though there isn’t anyone in America who hasn’t seen the hit Fox Reality TV show American Idol. The show is now in it’s fourth season, and more popular than ever. The show consists of tens of thousands of young aspiring pop stars competing against one another for a coveted recording contract that is awarded to the winner. The show culminates at the point of the top 12 of the best singers in the competition. Then, each week the contestants sing one song, and the viewers can either call in or text message their vote on Cingular Wireless (AT&T) cell phones. The show has created such stars as Kelly Clarkson, Fantasia Barino, Reuben Studdard, and Clay Aiken. The show even has its own video game, karaoke machine, clothes, ring tones, and much more.
