Randy David Johnson

Randy David Johnson - 09/10/1963 - born on September 10, 1963 in Walnut Creek, (CA) is one of the top left-handed pitchers in Baseball. He studied at the university of South California on a Baseball and Basketball scholarship. He made his first 2 trips to Japan with fellow major leaguers in 1990 and combined with then-Angel southpaw Chuck Finley in a no-hitter on Nov. 11 in Tokyo... Randy was voted for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer's Sports Star-of-the-Year in 1993 and was also highlighted as Sports Illustrated Sportsmen of the Year following the World Series season of 2001. He also won the Warren Spahn Award as the most outstanding left-handed pitcher in the Majors. His sincere efforts helped him achieve the Cy Young Award almost five times. He is the tallest player to ever play in the Majors and also one of the specialized fastballs in the game. Through his various efforts including his own annual golf tournament he has raised more than $1-million. He has personally donated more than $300,000 to related charities and organizations through his "Strikeout Homelessness" program. He has also been very active in fundraising for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation-in both Seattle and Arizona. Also he is involved in the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Salvation Army..... He has also made a cameo appearance in the baseball movie called "Little Big League"...
