LOS ANGELES, Oct. 11 (UPI) -- Alexander Frolov found the net with 16.9 seconds remaining and Brent Sopel had a power-play goal in the second period as L.A. downed the Islanders, 4-2.

Nichael Cammalleri and Tom Kostopoulos each scored and Dan Cloutier stopped 23 shots as the Kings won their second game since their season-opening loss to Anaheim. Oleg Tverdovsky had two assists.

Richard Park and Alexei Yashin found the net for winless New York (0-3).

The Islanders Jason Blake fired a shot that hit the crossbar with 1:58 left in the third period and Cloutier smothered the puck.
