BOSTON, Dec. 12 (UPI) -- Paul Pierce scored 26 points Wednesday and Boston pulled away late to defeat Sacramento 90-78.

The Celtics have won all of their 11 home games this season and Sacramento has lost all of its nine road contests.

Glen Davis, making his first NBA start, scored 16 points for the Celtics and Ray Allen had 15. Boston improved to 18-2 for the year and can equal a club record Friday against Milwaukee by capturing its 12th consecutive home game to start the season.

Boston won 12 in a row at home to begin the 1984-85 campaign and went on to the NBA Finals.

Sacramento was led by Ron Artest and Beno Udrih with 16 each.

Brad Miller brought the Kings within seven by hitting a jumper with 7:08 remaining in the fourth period, but Boston went on a 6-0 run that put the Kings away.
