ATLANTA, Nov. 14 (UPI) -- Joe Johnson scored 34 points for the Atlanta Hawks Wednesday in a 117-109 win over the Charlotte Bobcats.

The Hawks jumped to a quick lead in the first quarter and stayed ahead the rest of the way.

Josh Childress added 23 points for Atlanta and Marvin Williams chipped in 19.

Jason Richardson and Gerald Wallace each notched 27 points for Charlotte, which has lost four of its last six games.
