Kobe Bryant still a Laker

LOS ANGELES, June 21 (UPI) -- Kobe Bryant remained a Los Angeles Laker Thursday despite ongoing reports that he wants to be traded.

Several media reports this week have suggested numerous trade scenarios involving Chicago, Boston, Washington, the Indiana Pacers and the New York Knicks.

A video on YouTube and Bryant's personal Web site this week had the all-star guard ranting about a possible trade involving seven-foot center Andrew Bynum, a two-year veteran.

"Andrew Bynum? Ship him out," Bryant said. "Are you kidding me? We're talking about (New Jersey point guard) Jason Kidd. But they didn't even want to do that. Now we're here in this position."

Bryant recently met with team owner Dr. Jerry Buss, who is vacationing in Spain.

"I talked with Kobe, and assured him that I share his frustration and, more importantly, I assured him that we will continue to pursue every avenue possible to improve our team with him as the cornerstone," Buss said after that face-to-face meeting.
