The famous singer and songwriter, Christina Aguilera who is better known by the name of Xtina was born on December 18, 1980 in Staten Island, New York. Aguilera is well known as one of most versatile singers and her own fashion statements. Four times Grammy award winner, Aguilera father was in US Army and mother was a Spanish translator from Canada. Her love for music began at a very early stage of her childhood. As a child, she was very active in taking parts in talent shows and she soon recognized by media with title 'the little girl with big voice'. Although, she was already famous for her performances in parties and talent shows but she made her debut in 1999 with a self-titled album. Her first album soon reached at the top of the Billboard 200 and Canadian album charts, selling over eight million copies in U.S. Her other hit albums include: Mi Reflejo, My Kind of Christmas, Just Be Free and the most recent famous album, stripped. The singer is also actively involved with few charitable organizations. She was the very firs to sign a letter for PETA to the South Korean government asking to stop "abuse of dogs and cats killed for food". She has also contributed herself in fight against AIDS.
