Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood - Carrie Underwood is 21 and from Checotah, Oklahoma.  She is a college senior, she plays guitar and piano and rescues stray animals. Carrie Underwood started singing in public when she was a small child and made her first studio recording at age 13. Currently, Carrie is competing in the final rounds in Hollywood at American Idol.  She studied at Northeastern State University, where she was always known for being a straight "A" student. She started singing at the age of 9 also took piano lessons for 7 years. Other than being a great singer and pianists she also played softball for 9 years and basketball for 7 years. She is also the member of the Alpha Iota chapter of Sigma sorority. Since her childhood she ihas been continuously practicing her singing and has performed at numerous festivals and various other shows in Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, & Tennessee and has been the opening act for "Diamond Rio", "The Wilkinson's", "Exile", " "Gene Watson," Billy Hoffman" and "Earl Thomas Conley”. She is now trying her hardest to make it on "American idol". On March 22 show, after her stunning performance of Heart's "Alone", Simon Cowell's comments on her was that she would "win the competition and sell more records than any other previous Idol".
