Rolling Stone names 'Crazy' top 2006 song

NEW YORK, Dec. 12 (UPI) -- Rolling Stone magazine has tabbed the hit song "Crazy" from the U.S. musical duo Gnarls Barkley as the top song of the year.

The dance hit from the duo of rapper Cee-Lo and producer Danger Mouse beat out The Raconteurs' "Steady As She Goes" for the top honor, the BBC reported.

Hip-hop and dance hits garnered several spots on the magazine's top 10 spots of 2006 as Chamillionaire's "Ridin'" and TI's "What You Know" took third and fourth respectively and Clipse with Slim Thug came in eighth overall with "Wamp Wamp (What it Do)."

Also included in the top 10 spots on the countdown were "Vans" by The Pack at fifth, Lily Allen's pop hit "Smile" in seventh, Wolfmother's "Dimension" in ninth and "Ohh La La" from Goldfrapp taking 10th.

The BBC said Bob Dylan, whose hit "Thunder on the Mountain" took sixth, also received top album honors for "Modern Times," his first full album in the last five years.
