Jimmy Kimmel paying staff during strike

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- U.S. talk-show host Jimmy Kimmel has been paying people on his staff since the Hollywood writers' strike began last month.

All late-night TV talk shows, including "Jimmy Kimmel Live," have been in reruns since the Writers Guild of America struck on Nov. 5.

Kimmel has been paying employees such as entry-level production assistants and receptionists for weeks, while senior staffers are said to being "taken care of" by the network, TMZ.com reported Monday..

TMZ.com said ABC and representatives for Kimmel did not respond to its requests for comment.
