Grace still in hospital; doing better

ATLANTA, Nov. 14 (UPI) -- U.S. television news presenter and new mom Nancy Grace is doing well after being hospitalized Sunday for complications related to her pregnancy.

Grace, 49, developed pulmonary edema during her pregnancy and gave birth to Lucy Elizabeth and John David on Nov. 4 -- two months ahead of her January due date.

Her husband, David Linch, told People magazine Wednesday Grace was "doing pretty doggone good."

"She is breathing effortlessly now," Linch said. "The swelling around her legs and feet have pretty much gone away."

He added that the Headline News anchor will probably stay on medication "for a couple of months to make sure everything is OK and prevent any other clots."

Linch also had good news to report about his newborn children.

"John David has gone from being fed via a tube to primarily being fed by a bottle and today is the first day they're going to try to give Lucy Elizabeth a bottle. Her weight is going up and she's doing quite well," Linch said. "They're out of the critical area and have stabilized pretty well."

Grace is expected to go home by the end of the week.
