Four 'Stars' still left dancing

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Only four couples are left as the top-rated U.S. competition series, "Dancing with the Stars," nears its conclusion.

Celebrities still competing are singer Marie Osmond, TV actress Jennie Garth, race-car driver Helio Castroneves and Spice Girl Mel B.

Jeff Allen, author of "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Ballroom Dancing,"

handicapped each contestant for USA Today, noting Osmond is the long-shot at 15 to 1.

Allen also said the odds are 8 to 1 Castroneves and his partner will win, 5 to 1 Garth and hers will take the prize and even money Mel B and her companion will go home the winners.

One of the show/s judges, Carrie Ann Inaba, told the newspaper Osmond shouldn't be counted out just yet, though.

"I love Marie as a performer. Her timing is incredible, and watching her throughout the competition has reminded me of how wonderful of an entertainer she is," Inaba said. "However, at this final stage, we are looking for the right combination of performance, technique and execution (among other things). She is not quite as agile as the rest of the competitors but you can't not smile when you watch her perform. And that makes her

so popular (with) the public voting."
