Apple promises new 'living room' product

Copyright 2006 by United Press International (via ClariNet) CUPERTINO, Calif., Sept. 13 (UPI) -- California's Apple Computer Co. will unveil a product that streams video and music from a Macintosh computer or the Internet to a television. Reportedly due out early next year, the so-called iTV is expected to retail for about $299 and be about the size of a slim paperback book, The New York Times reported Wednesday. Such a move would let Apple compete directly with Microsoft, Dell and Hewlett-Packard for "living room revenue," analysts said. Add to:
