American Cinema Editors pick nominees

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Jan. 12 (UPI) -- "Little Miss Sunshine" turned up on another nominee list Friday with American Cinema Editors picking the film as one of six vying for best comedy or musical.

Other nominees in the same category are "The Devil Wears Prada," "Dreamgirls," "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" and "Thank You for Smoking."

Nominees for best-edited drama are "Babel," "Casino Royale," "The Departed," "The Queen" and "United 93."

"An Inconvenient Truth," "Baghdad ER" and "When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts, Part I" were nominated for best edited documentary.

The program "24" picked up a nomination for best edited one-hour series for commercial television for the episode "7 pm to 8pm."

Daily Variety reports winners of the awards, popularly called the "Eddies," will be announced when ACE holds its 57th annual ceremony at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Feb. 18.
