'Real World' audition seek real people

NEW YORK, Oct. 12 (UPI) -- "The Real World Denver" hasn't even aired on MTV and producers already are working on the next cycle.

"Real World" producers plan conduct open auditions Saturday in New York for people to appear on the 19th season for the show, as well as an upcoming edition of "The Real World/Road Rules Challenge: Fresh Meat," the New York Daily News said.

The show's producers want people who exhibit "charisma and big personalities," the Daily News said. And they should be real.

If applicants make the cut, they'll return for one-on-one interviews, the Daily News said, followed by more interviews and screenings. Applicants selected for the show will be given a paying job, receive an appearance fee and be reimbursed for most of their expenses, the Daily News said.

The setting for the next edition of "The Real World" hasn't been revealed, but production should begin early next year, the Daily News said.

"The Real World" launched in 1992, and its format has remained essentially the same: Seven people from around the United States live under one roof while their activities are cablecast on TV, the Daily News said.
