'Idol' pals on Paris Bennett disc

MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 19 (UPI) -- Former "American Idol" contestants Lisa Tucker and Kevin Covais reunited with Minnesotan Paris Bennett on her debut album, "Princess P."

And word is, Bennett said, the bespectacled Corvais, nicknamed "Chicken Little," can rap, Vh1.com said.

"He'd rap whole songs. He used to freestyle backstage. I was like, 'I have to do that on my album'," Bennett said.

Their collaboration is a hip-hop track called, "Let Me Rap."

The Tucker duet is still in the works.

"Princess P" also features Bennett's famous grandmother, Sounds of Blackness singer Ann Nesby, as well as Paris' mother and 70-year-old great-grandmother.

"I'm a fourth-generation singer, so we did a song together called 'Best Friend,' " said Bennett, who recently shot a music video in Minneapolis.

The 12-track "Princess P," which was the nickname "Idol" host Ryan Seacrest gave Bennett on the show, is due in March on the independent label 306 Entertainment.
