LOS ANGELES, Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Emmy-award winning journalist Dayna Devon, co-host of the U.S. TV series "Extra," gave birth last week to a healthy baby boy.

In recognition of the newest addition to the family, "Extra" offered its congratulations to Devon and her husband, Dr. Brent Moelleken, for the 8 pound, 1 ounce boy named Cole Brent they welcomed into the world last Friday.

Devon, who shares time on the entertainment news program with co-host Mark McGrath, was in good condition.

A veteran journalist, Devon previously worked with an ABC affiliate in Tennessee, where she and her news team won an Emmy Award for best live broadcast.
