Vogue had disappointed many Italian designers

Anna Wintour, the chief editor of US Vogue had disappointed many Italian designers after listing the top seven designers to watch. Italian designers were furious to watch the top seven listing as it included only two of them. Wintour only included two Italians named Muiccia Prada and Stefani Pilati, who designs for Yves Sant Laurent. However, furious Italian designers wished to pull their advertising from US Vogue and boycott Wintour fundraising. Giorgio Armani said that he had already reduced his advertising commitment in protest. Wintour against this had said, 'Creativity is also narcissism. Everyone thinks they're the best, and they love applause'. Top designers like Versace, Dolce & Gabbana and Missoni were not mentioned in the top seven lists
