Orlando Jonathan Blanchard Bloom, professionally known as Orlando bloom is a British actor who was born on January 13, 1977 in Canterbury, England. Bloom is well known for playing a role of Legolas in famous movie, 'The Lord of the Rings'. Orlando finished his high school from St. Edmund's School in Canterbury. After discovering his love for acting, he later moved to London and attended the National Youth Theatre, a place from where he also earned a scholarship to train the people at the British American Drama Academy. After appearing in few television roles, In 1997 Bloom made his debut with movie, Wilde. However in 1998, Bloom unfortunately met with a severe accident in which his back was broken and doctor briefly feared that if he could ever walk again. But in just twelve days the actor was released from the hospital after a fast recovery. His other major performances were in movies such as, "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Troy, The Calcium Kid, and Kingdom of Heaven.
