Klaxons' 'dark' album

The Klaxons claim their new album has come from "the darkest corners of our mind".

The 'Golden Scans' singers insist their music is so far from reality it will be difficult for the rest of the world to understand.

Guitarist Simon Taylor said: "The whole ethos of the band is that we're not based in reality. We're not writing about meeting girls at bus stops or eating cheeseburgers. And we won't be referencing literature this time - everything will come from the darkest corners of our minds. We'll go off on our own tangent and be lucky if the rest of the world follows."

The Nationwide Mercury Prize winners also insist their new record, which is due out in September, will be very different from their debut hit album 'Myths Of The Near Future' because they have got "better".

Keyboardist James Righton said: "We want to maintain some adolescence and sense of naivety, but we're changing. There won't be any distorted keyboard anymore. We got better as a band - we can actually play our instruments now."
