Kiefer Sutherland has signed up for three more series of 24

Kiefer Sutherland has signed up for three more series of '24'. The deal is set to earn the $40 million - making the Canadian-raised actor the highest-paid drama actor on TV. Sutherland will also be promoted from co-executive producer to executive producer and get a two-year production development contract with Fox studios. The espionage series - which is currently in its fifth season - has been a massive success around the world. '24' has also become a DVD best-seller, a successful computer game and a number of episodes were even specially made for a mobile phone series. Sutherland - who has also starred in several hit movies, including 'The Lost Boys', 'Flatliners' and 'Young Guns' - recently said his time on the show had been "one of the most creative and rewarding experiences" of his career. Meanwhile, the reformed Hollywood badboy says he has found a new way to get high since he quit drugs - cooking. Sutherland - who is now completely clean - said: "I did like the ceremony, the ritual of preparing cocaine as much as doing it. "I did it for a year, loved it and then stopped. I feel the same way about cooking now. It's an amazing time to focus on something else."
