Kara Tointon passes the baby

Kara Tointon dumps her on-screen babies on co-star Joe Swash.

The 'EastEnders' star, who plays single-mum Dawn Swann, has confessed she leaves Joe to take care of the twin babies who play her on-screen daughter Summer.

Kara told Britain's Inside Soap magazine: "Whenever Joe's about, I always say, 'Take them off me!'

"Even before he became a dad, Joe was so good with babies."

Joe, 25, became a real-life dad in June when girlfriend, Emma Sophocles, gave birth to son Harry.

Kara, 24, - who recently split from ex-'EastEnders' star James Alexandrou - admitted she has no maternal instinct as she still feels like a child herself.

She said: "I still feel I'm 18, so having a baby seems quite far off for me. I'm too immature for all that, and need to get myself organised before I start thinking about children."
