Justice League 'abandoned'

Comic book adaptation 'Justice League of America' has been "abandoned indefinitely".

The Warner Bros superhero team film, which was slated to star 'The O.C.' actor Adam Brody as The Flash and newcomer Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, has been postponed following script problems and taxation issues.

The highly-anticipated adaptation, which was to be helmed by Oscar-winning 'Happy Feet' director George Miller, was expected to start shooting in the coming weeks for a summer 2009 release.

Cast members were reportedly told the bad news while on location with Miller.

Due to the Writers' Guild of America (WGA) strike, any script issues will not be resolved until writers are back at work, causing one of the main reasons behind the delay.

Other cast-members included Armie Hammer Jr. as Batman, Common as The Green Lantern, and DJ Cotrona as Superman.
