'Coronation Street' vixen Carla Connor is set to be beaten up by her lover's wife.

The factory boss - played by Alison King - will be left stunned after Lindsey Gordon, portrayed by actress Susie Amy, storms into Weatherfield and slaps her after discovering Carla's affair with her husband Tony.

Alison revealed: "Yes I get a slap. It's probably everybody's dream to see Carla get a smack. It more or less knocks me down."

Alison also revealed viewers will see her really get her comeuppance.

She said: "I always think you should do it for real. They always have a safety guy on set anyway. I've done a few action films and I like getting involved."

Carla has been having an affair with businessman Tony for a few months but their secret will be exposed when Lindsey acts on her suspicions.
