Chris Martin's pap attack

Fri 18 Jan 2008

Chris Martin tackled a paparazzi photographer to the floor outside New York's Mount Sinai Medical Center.

The Coldplay singer - who had accompanied wife Gwyneth Paltrow to the hospital amid rumours she is pregnant - lost his temper when a British photographer said "Congratulations Chris" as he walked out of the hospital.

Chris, who was wearing a black bomber jacket with the hood up, yelled "have some f***ing respect!" before grabbing the paparazzo.

After pushing him to the ground, Chris started to get into his black four-wheel drive car when the photographer stood up and exclaimed "what the f**k are you doing?', before tackling Chris from behind in retaliation.

The photographer was too shaken to comment on the incident when contacted.

Gwyneth, 35, was rushed to hospital on Monday, but her publicist would not reveal the reasons behind the emergency dash.
