Carmen Electra has split from husband Dave Navarro

Carmen Electra has split from husband Dave Navarro. The former 'Baywatch' actress met the musician on a blind date and the pair married in 2003. Carmen's publicist Brit Reece confirmed the couple were "amicably separating" yesterday (17.07.06), but would not elaborate on the reasons behind the split. The couple had been adamantly denying reports of a rift for months and continued to appear in public together. A source has claimed the former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist is on the verge of moving in with new girlfriend socialite Sarah Howard - who he has been reportedly romancing for five months. The source said: "Carmen is so focused on her career, she doesn't even care. Dave told Sarah it's totally over between him and Carmen. "Everybody knows about Dave and Sarah now." Carmen - real name Tara Patrick - recently finished touring with girl group The Pussycat Dolls and is currently in London filming new movie 'I Want Candy'. Carmen's union to Dave was her second marriage. She previously wed infamous basketball star Dennis Rodman in Las Vegas, before divorcing him five months later. Dave was married twice before he wed Carmen three years ago - in a ceremony which was filmed by MTV for hit reality series ''Til Death Do Us Part: Carmen and Dave'. The rocker is currently hosting the second series of 'Rock Star: Supernova' alongside Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee - who dated Carmen before she met Dave. The show is searching for a lead singer to front a new band called Supernova.
