Bono is launching a new fashion brand

U2 frontman Bono is launching a new fashion brand in a bid to help fight AIDS. The rocker's Red range will include a credit card, trainers, tops and sunglasses, which will be sold in aid of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. Top fashion labels including Armani, Converse, American Express and Gap are all partners in the fundraising scheme. The Irish star - one of the organisers of the global Live 8 charity concerts last summer - warned the world was losing the fight against HIV and AIDS as he announced the news at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland. He told the crowd: "I feel a bit of a fraud, a bit of a loser, because we are not winning in the war against AIDS." He added: "I really, really hate losing." The singer says he hoped the Red line will change things. He said: "We've come up with a sexy, smart, savvy idea that will save people 's lives."
