Bird breathes on

A giant British turkey has been spared the chop this Christmas after winning a national competition.

Bird Terence will now take on the duties of a breeding stag after he was voted the best bronze turkey in the country by the Poultry Club of Great Britain.

Terence is three years old and weighs in at 35lbs.

He had already become one of the star attractions at the Woodlands Leisure Park in South Devon after being moved their from his owner's farm.
