Rodney Jerkins gathered famous pop stars to raise funds

One of the most successful musician, Rodney Jerkins has gathered famous pop stars like Mariah Carey, Mary J Blige, Brandy and Sister Sledge to re-record Sister Sledge's mega-hit classic, "we Are Family' to raise the funds for all those victims that left homeless due to August 2005 Hurricane Katrina. The musician explains, “It's not over. People still don't have homes, people still don't have clothes, and I feel it's our obligation, as people, to help.” The singer has also confessed he is overwhelmed by the celebrity support. Jerkins said, “We were only going to do about eight artists, but it's probably going to be about 15 artists by the time it's done.”
