Arctic Monkeys turned down a BBC offer

A popular rock band, Arctic Monkeys reportedly turned down the offer to play on the BBC's long running chart show, 'Top of the Pops as the band members insist they will never appear on any soap opera because they just want to concentrate on recordings and live shows. Drummer, Matt Helders explained, ‘The TV interviews we did were abysmal. We just don't want to do it. We don't think we should have to do that stuff just because we're in a band. You can't win - either you're a knob head for not doing stuff or you bore people if they see your face everyday.’
