Teri Hatcher

Teri Hatcher - Born on December 8th 1964 in Sunnyvale, California USA. She is the only child of Owen and Esther Hatcher. Her father is a nuclear physicist and her mother is a computer programmer. As a child she loved dancing and spent most of the time practicing dancing. While studying at Fremont High school, she was considered as the captain of the Featherettes, a dance team which had the look of regular cheerleaders, with the exception of the large head dresses they would wear. After graduating in 1982 she also studied acting at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco while taking a degree course in mathematics and engineering at De Anza College in Cupertino, California. Her first acting gig came when she was providing moral support for a friend at an audition. She auditioned and won the role of singing and dancing mermaid for the television series "A Love Boat" in 1977. After she was seen in "MacGyver" play in 1985. Later she also won the role of smart and savvy Lois in "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" (1993). Her other film credits include '2 Days In The Valley', 'Tomorrow Never Dies' and also starred in big hit show in ABC's hit comedy, 'Desperate Housewives'. Her role in Desperate Housewives won her a Golden Globe award for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and the SAG Award for Female Actor in a Comedy Series. In 1994 she married actor Jon Tenney, the couple are now divorced and living separate.
