Orlando Bloom

Orlando Bloom is a British actor who is well known for his role as Legolas, in the Oscar winning movie, Lord of the Rings. Bloom whose full name is Orlando Jonathan Blanchard Bloom was born on January 13, 1977 in Canterbury. He finished his high school from St. Edmunds School in Canterbury, but faced hard time due to his dyslexia. Later he moved to London and joined the National Youth Theatre and earned a scholarship to train at the British American Drama Academy. After appearing in few television dramas he made his debut film in 1997, Wilde. He later attended the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. His first major role was in the movie, Lord of the Rings, which was released in 2001. Bloom earned a massive fame and became one of the hottest celebrities of the Hollywood. In 2004 the actor was labeled as the hottest Hollywood bachelor by People Magazine. His other movies include: Elizabethtown, Kingdom of Heaven, Haven, Troy, The Calcium Kid, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Ned Kelly, Black Hawk down etc. His upcoming movies are: Pirates of the Caribbean 3, Paris je t'aime, Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest and Love and Other Disasters.
