Christopher Walken

Christopher Walken is an American actor who was born on March 31, 1943 is best known for his role as menacing or psychologically damaged characters. He is also played few comedian roles on screen. The actor was born in Queens, New York as Ronald Walken but he later changed his name to Christopher Walken, by which he is known to the film industry. His father was a German and his mother was a Scottish. Walken enrolled in a dance school before joining theatre and movies. He also gave some of his dance moves in movies such as: "A View to a Kill, The Dead Zone, Brainstorm, Batman Returns, True Romance, Pulp Fiction, Nick of Time, Catch Me If You Can, and Around the Bend". He has given some notable performances in movies such as: "Annie Hall, The Deer Hunter, Heaven's Gate, The Dead Zone, At Close Range, The Comfort of Strangers, King of New York, True Romance, Pulp Fiction, Wild Side, The Prophecy, The Addiction, Weapon of Choice and Catch Me If You Can". Throughout his acting career, Walken had won many honorable awards. In 1978 he won Academy award for Best supporting actor and in 2002 he was again nominated for Academy award. In 1996 he won the Clarence Derwent award for his performance in movie, The Lion in winter.
